CompTIA Mobility+

CompTIA Mobility+ has helped IT professionals stay ahead of the mobile-ready curve. It has validated expert knowledge in the latest mobility trends and the ability to work with an extensive variety of existing and emerging mobile technologies.

Important Mobility+ Update:

CompTIA Mobility+ certification will officially retire on December 15, 2017. The main reason for this retirement is that the job role for Mobility+ continues to merge into the Network Administrator role, and much of the Mobility+ content is covered in CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+. The continuing education requirement of Mobility+ will be removed after October 31, 2016. All active (non-expired) Mobility+ CE certifications through this date will automatically convert to Good-For-Life (GFL) status.

Use your versatility as a CompTIA Mobility+ certified professional to manage the complex environments that trends such as bring-your-own-device (BYOD) create. CompTIA Mobility+ shows that you understand different mobile technologies as well as over-the-air systems that will dominate business operations in the coming years.

Closing the gap

44 percent of businesses report a stark difference between the level of mobile technology knowledge their staff currently has and the level of knowledge required. Mobility+ solves that problem, making you exactly who these businesses need.

Manage the Internet of Things

Everything from gas and electric meters to smart cars to wearable tech now includes mobile technology. If you are CompTIA Mobility+ certified, you will know how to manage all the systems that drive these devices.

Mobility+ values security

CompTIA Mobility+ focuses on the key security concerns that affect all things mobility, from BYOD environment threats to how to encrypt data at rest and data in motion.

Current Mobility Demands

Research in corporate hiring trends has indicated a clear uptick in the demand for IT professionals adept at mobile technology:

  • According to Computerworld's forecast for 2015, mobile application and device management is one of the 10 hottest IT skills, with almost a quarter of respondents planning to hire for it.

  • According to Indeed.com, over 70% of all companies have already made an investment to build out mobility solutions.
  • Indeed.com’s Average Salary Index indicates a median salary of $82,739 for a job in mobility and wireless in the U.S.
